However, if you are hosting your website or apps on your own server, please do make sure that you have already configured the server with a public IP Address which are accessible from the internet and also the common name (CN) that you used for the certificate are resolvable to your server public IP Address.

For Organization & Extended Validation SSL Certificates, you will be required to validate the authenticity of your company with the CA.

You will be sent an email asking you to complete the SSL’s enrollment. You will then be required to complete domain validation. You may choose to validate your domain either by email verification or file-based verification. File-based verification requires uploading a provided file to the root directory of your domain.

Following completion of domain validation, you will either be issued your SSL (domain validation), or be required to submit your business documentation to the certificate authority (organization & extended validation).
